Biography
Chichi Li (Shiqi Li)
Chichi Li is a UK-based collaborative pianist working across vocal, instrumental and chamber music repertoire. She joined the Royal Northern College of Music in 2023 to study for a Master of Performance in Piano Accompaniment, studying with Professor David Jones and graduating with Distinction in 2025.
During her studies at the RNCM, Chichi performed in a range of major concert halls and cultural venues, including Wigmore Hall, the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, and Manchester Cathedral. She also participated in masterclasses and coaching sessions with leading musicians including Julius Drake, David Owen Norris, Simon Lepper, Joseph Middleton, Stephen Waarts and Charles Owen, further developing her collaborative approach across a wide range of repertoire.
Chichi has been invited to work as a collaborative pianist at several festivals, including the Keystones Piano Festival, the Low Clarinet Festival in the USA, and the Lichfield Festival, where she worked closely with instrumentalists in both rehearsal and performance contexts.
Following graduation, Chichi joined the RNCM External Accompanist List and continues to provide accompaniment support for the College. She is also engaged by the University of Sheffield as a collaborative pianist for chamber music assessments and undergraduate and postgraduate final degree recitals. In 2026–27, she will hold the title of Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Languages, Arts and Societies at the University of Sheffield.
Chichi is particularly interested in long-term collaborative partnerships and in working within conservatoire and university settings, where performance, coaching, rehearsal practice and academic assessment contexts intersect.
